As of now, yeah, VALORANT is the better game and growing massively in Esports as well. It won't be long before they blow out CSGO in viewership across all platforms meanwhile, Valve will do absolutely nothing because they don't care. That's why the skin market is getting cheaper by the minute, people are leaving this game in droves. Wait until the fall/holidays come, I fully expect to see the lowest-record numbers ever for CS:GO over these next few months. I also bet that new Splitgate game is going to be red hot and be the next big thing. Let's see what happens...

CS:GO has had a massive drop in playerbase over the past few months. A lot of people are leaving CS:GO to go play other games like VALORANT, Call of Duty, and even the new Splitgate. Too many cheaters, hackers, scammers, MM is a joke, toxicity, racism, and lack of no new content with no idea WHEN new content is coming out makes CS:GO not worth playing at the moment.

Valve doesn't say when new content is coming out. Ever. Nobody knows when a new Operation is coming, we all hope something comes out when the next CS:GO Major drops but who even knows. That's a huge problem these days since every other gaming developer in the world is very transparent with their playbase and explain what's coming out next, when, get community feedback to improve things, etc.

Those are all big reasons why even a lot of pro players are jumping ship to games like VALORANT. Even Stewie2K said in a recent stream he's eventually going to VALORANT as well, mostly since CS:GO is just getting to the point where other games are just doing it better. I don't think CS:GO will ever die but it's sad that a game we all love is treated like this by Valve. I hope things get better soon but with lots of new games coming out this Fall and holiday season, I expect CS:GO's playerbase to drop even more.

LoL yeah, I prefer Splitgate, Apex Legends, and Halo MCC over VALORANT to be honest. But to each their own, I've played VALORANT and it's not so bad. It's just not for me.

CSGO isn't dying and I agree that CSGO will never truly die. However, the game is in really bad shape, everyone from consistent gamers, pro players, coaches, and even major influencers (Shroud mostly recently) also state how bad CS:GO really is as of late. There is no denying that more could be done by Valve as it is what it is, but it's not a good experience to the majority, especially new players.

Why would anyone that's new to CS:GO want to put much time and money into this when there are so many other, better competitive FPS games out there to play? Plus, as much as I hate to say it, a good chunk of those 334K players in the morning and 778K peak players in the last 24 hours, half if not more are cheaters, hackers, and bots.

1.Partially agree with the game is in bad shape and pros opinions except Shroud's, hes justa ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the moment he left csgo for pubg kept trashtalking cs for the most random reasons.Then he left pubg and went to Valulrant, and trashtalked both of the games(zero loyalty).
2.They can do more most definitely, but its Valve not much to say :/
3.No game ever has or ever will get the same feeling as csgo for me, it has literally perfected gunplay imho and im pretty sure many people stick with cs for its gunplay for many years to come.
