how to disable 2nd level zoom for left click

It's part of the game design that you always zoom in in that order.

You can just hold the button, theres no need to double tap it.

i feel like often times my opportunity to hit the shot with double zoom is missed once i reach double zoom. I usually just try to make the shot with single zoom due to this but it would be much more useful if i could reach double zoom with one click so i could use it without losing any extra time.

you first say you miss your shots with double zoom which implies you prefer single zoom and then you say you lose extra time.

When you want to single zoom only, switch to your other weapon and back to the awp to get the single zoom again.

Double zoom is also nearly never used by any player and there is no situation I ever had in 30.000+ hours where I had to double zoom and lost my opportunity to hit a shot while doing so.

So I suggest you adapt to the game as it is and work on your gameplay and timings.

if i implied that i miss extra shots with double zoom that wasnt what i meant to convey. When i say i lose time i am referring to the time it takes to scope into double zoom as it gives the enemy more time to react.

I spread it out over 2 different discussions but what i have been trying to find out is if there is a way to assign one button (mouse2) to toggle between no scope and level one zoom and assign another button (mouse5) to toggle between no zoom and level 2 zoom for quality of life.

I looked at the console and it seemed that both zooms are triggered by the same command (+attack2) and thus i don't believe what i am trying to achieve would be possible. I tried binding mouse5 to "+attack2; +attack2" just to see if it would cause it to reach level 2 zoom but it caused it to loop as if i were holding down right click (i am unsure of why).

It seems what i am trying to achieve isnt possible but thanks for the help, i appreciate it.

Alright sorry then I misunderstood you. I'd like to help you but afaik this isn't possible because it's hard coded into it and there isn't a way to "skip" first zoom. I'm sorry.
