Few shooters use such elaborate weapon-specific set recoil patterns, TBH, which is part of why CSGO has a big learning curve.
Still, many people including me could spray better in CS1.6. A a long m4 spraydown was common, in CSGO this would be the highlight of the year.
Sometimes I start CS1.6 aswell and while I don't have problems with movement etc. I do have them with the weapon mechanics. It does feel completely different and.. I mean it is.
That's why I also only play one shooter/cs becauae I like to be good at the game and playing different shooter makes you worse. In CS1.6 I bhop, kreetz and surf sometimes, so not really shooter related.
One thing that I personally dislike is how often I see people copying stuff they see on youtube like recoil patterns and smoke tricks, while it's really cool to see some in-depth tactics, I really dislike that many inexperienced players can SSG headshot on dust2 double doors only looking at the clock.
Although, skill comes into play into countering those tactics, that much I believe.
Just my 2 cents, I feel mostly that the problem is me tbh, I really dislike the static recoil patterns on shotguns.
And you as a player who get headshotted need skill to understand what they're doing and delay your jumpthrough.
Also i love CS 1.6 because there is no such thing like a lagcompensation or whatever is that which annoying me in CSGO.
But still CS 1.6 is a very nice game to relax with friends.
Is just that I don't feel the learning process with the game doesn't come with the game, but as I also said, the problem is with me, I really liked the semi-random spreads and the adapt on the fly approach, is just that it isn't feeling good for me.
aim for the chest, get headshots.
aim for the head, get chest shots.
This game rewards random bullsh... rather than skill.
Over 14k kills and 63% are headshots.
I can tell you... f csgo, lol.
Only play this game for the weekly drops
you must be on crack...

Kills: 16,875
Headshot %: 63.8%
K/D Ratio: 1.25
I think someone envies me
It doesn't matter how many new accounts you make,
you'll never reach 16k kills with an average of 60% headshots.
"Bots" or not..
Fair enough.
I would hate to leak my personal information of which video games i play too.
if anybody found that out.. things would be disastrous.
you never really told me which pro team you are with tho?
That is a lot of 1.6.
Unfortunately, i don't know anything about those teams.. Cal-i? Pro?
BUT.. i'll tell ya, i miss the good ol KZ and bhop maps without these air acceleration and bhop scripts enabled.
So yeah. A lot of stuff happened that time. Played CS1.6 and previous versions til 2015 ~22.000 hours (hard to measure because steam counts hours only since 2008 and I just calculated it further based on hours since then) and to come up to the topic again: Whenever I start CS1.6 again I also feel weird, mainly because of the shooting mechanics. I don't even bother trying to get used to it again because that would mean I'd get worse in CSGO. Some of my friends still play 1.6 and ask me from time to time to play with them but I have to decline lol.
I agree. I don't like all these mods etc. and I also don't like complicated kz/bhop/surf maps. That's why I play them in CS1.6 more often than CSGO because in CSGO everything has to look cool etc. - to be fair the map creator do a great job it's just not what I'm looking for.
sounds like quite the achievements.
i'm kinda jealous i never found a serious team for 1.6.
mainly just within friends / scrimmage
i knew more of clubs (mt,st,dt,db) than i did pro teams. and those mIRC days... (rip)
exactly!!
sad times
