CS:GO would be a much better game without the AWP.

I have been a cs go player for a long time, cs go is about the mastery of recoil control and weapon spread, not the corny sh1t you see in call of duty or whatever, but every time i go against an awper i feel so desperately out of my league, awpers would just camp at long range with pin point accuracy, the moment i peak its over, one body shot kill in a a game like this is unacceptable, the awp must be removed or at least nerfed (90 damage ) , with much less ammo, and more difficult to control, in addition there should be a scope animation delay so that at close range encounters awpers find it difficult to one shot enemies players as soon as they see them, but as it stands even good awpers immediately one shot me at close range, wtf is this crap.

The AWP is extremely deadly at close and long range, very easy to use, and does not belong in a tactical game like this about recoil mastery, there is a reason why the top ranking csgo players are mostly awpers, its because its THAT broken, remember when the revolver first came in 2015 and everyone complained about it one shot kill, then it got immediately nefred, how the fudge did that happen but the awp remains this broken since 2012 ??!!

Takes no skill. Just still somewhere and click. 10 ammo. One bullet kills someone at any part of the body almost. instant scope zoom making also effective at close range.

i mean it cant compete against proper smoke placements and molotovs thou and scout is a good counter to it hell even a skilled rifleman can take an awper down

Many things in this game doesnt make sense. But powerful sniper rifle is not one of them. Its fine by me, I do not play it tho. Honestly, bigger problem is grenade. It has to be placed so precisely to do serious dmg. AWP somehow "simulates" power of sninper rifle (yea leg shot would be one and done IRL). So in fact AWP works most like IRL :D AWP can be anoying, in DMs every single prck plays it. But its part of the game, same as flashes, mollys, smgs with 3 headshot kills :D And I think if this works for so long, then its not gonna change :/

I agree wholeheartedly. I hate that when I use the AWP and miss the shot. I cant pull the deagle out fast enough (even with quick switch) or take the second shot to make the kill. I also hate walking slow with it as I always have to run with my knife out.

I say ditch the AWP and encourage AUTO DIAPERS!!!! You rarely miss with the auto sniper and its EZ kills. It just inflate my ego till I burst and I can feel good about my skills and sleep better at night knowing that I can dominate with the Auto sniper...

hey we all know that negev dominates more then autos does in mid ranks :D

its more useful then any smgs ever could be if you can aim and if you have a decent spot to wait in :D

You have to calculate of how fast you have to move your mouse to hit the flick you must calculate it very fast or you might die.

The game wouldn't be a good game without the iconic AWP. I mean, what's CS:GO without an AWP, only a rifle-type of game? No no no, it adds a lot of meaning to the game itself.
