Skill Placement Cooldown

Hi everyone

I did some searching on Skill Placement Cooldown and it seems pretty straight forward. 2 wins per 24 hours is all that is allowed.

So today is Monday 3:40pm Sydney time. The last time I played was Friday.

I played:
1st game - Loss
2nd game - got kicked as 4 of my team mates were deranking and score was 0-16 loss
3rd game - won 16 to 13

So does the kick count as a game despite the game being lost?

Why do I have a competitive cooldown despite only winning 1 game?

Yes I did..won 2 on thursday, 2 on friday..

Did not play saturday or sunday..

Lost 2 today 1 won and got cooldown..total wins so far - 5. It should be 6?

and seems ok for me.

if you win 1 u will have cooldown.

10 wins = you will have rank.

just a week of cooldowns and it's over

The CSGO FAQ says if you win 2 you get the cooldown, hence why my post.

Here are my stats:
Thursday: Win, Win - Cooldown after 2nd win
Friday: Won, Lost, Won - cooldown after 2nd win
Saturday: no cs go
Sunday: no cs go
Monday: Lost, Kicked (lost 16-0), Won - cooldown with 1 win.

It doesnt seem right thats all..

may be u get cooldown for getting kicked or just bug ..

Why did I receive a competitive cooldown?

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive's competitive mode has a number of automated measures in place to ensure that every game is enjoyable for all players. A competitive cooldown may be issued for any of the following reasons:

1) New players can win two games a day until they have completed enough games to calibrate their skill group. Full calibration requires ten wins; this helps the game accurately calibrate skill levels across CS:GO

2) Abusing the kick system; kicking too many players or being kicked from too many games will result in a competitive cooldown

3) Abandoning games

4) Attacking teammates / teamkilling

5) AFKing or otherwise not participating in a game that you have joined

Note: A matchmaking cooldown will be issued regardless of whether or not an infraction was intentional. Explicit warnings are given to players before they commit an action that will result in a cooldown.

you are wrong.

you never bother to check his screenshot he provides in his original post.

the screenshot he provides shows that he only got 1 competitive win today out of the 3 competitive matches he played in total today.

as the Cooldown rules clearly stated for Competitive mode that to get 24 hours Cooldown, you need 2 placement wins.

but OP only got 1 Competitive match win today only.

ehm yesterday i got a 21 hour cooldown after winning in comp and it said it was for me to get calculated or something but after the cooldown the ammount of wins i needed to show that rank thing in competetive got reset? WHY?!?

You are a funny one..

I got kicked from 1 game, AND they asked me if I wanted to be kicked so I asked to be kicked. They were running around with knifes out deranking with ping of 350+ because they were European and US players playing in Australian server. A game of 4 people were 2 were sitting in spawn afk..

I do not mind what Valve are doing with 10 wins, my question was whether this was a bug OR because of the kick in one game..

It is Temporary Cooldown, not Competitve Cooldown.

This happens to some users and its completly normal. The system sometimes wants a little more time to calculate your skill group and I experienced it along with a couple of my friends.
No need to worry, on your 9th win, maybe you can only win once, then on the second day you win again, you will get your rank.
