Yeah but it still exposes your friend to potentially losing his account since whatever 3rd party site he used has his Steam login information. Just not worth the risk, hence why I tell everyone that asks about 3rd party sites my golden rule...

Yeah 3rd party sites will steal your stuff never enter your valve credentials there or buy/sell anything there you will get scammed and ur money taken.
