I got hacked by just clicking a link (EDITED)

Hello guys! So i was on Csgo public discord i was looking for a game then a member of the server messaged me saying "you want to play?" So i said "okay add me" then he said "oh click this link so i can add you"(steancommunitycom) at first i didn't noticed the link i just clicked into, then for like 4 seconds it seems like the site is processing. As i was logging into my steam account (real legit steam.exe) it says that my password or username is incorrect, As i checked my Gmail account there was a message about steam telling me that someone logged into my account in RU, changing my account username and password. How can the hijacker know my Username and my password so fast? Thank you for your help!!

its an scr!!! Once you've clicked the link the site will automatically download a malware it will know your past login credentials and can send it to a hacker. :O

it was a RAT.

but malwarebytes finds the RAT it used to install.

im not the only one.

the only one in 2020 if you have the mobile authenticator it does not happen.
and without checking thats from 2015 we got the authenticator in 2016.

Sound like an API scam, contact the Staem Support and send them, if possible your CD-Keys to vertify it´s YOUR account.

yeah, by adding people or clicking links, hijackers can somehow get into your system. it's probably, that clicking the link gives the hacker's program access to your device. at least thats what i assume

who clicks a .scr links that is like clicking on a .exe.
always read where the URL lands.
