Is it possible to rank faster with short match competitive?

Does short length competitive mode have the same elo system as long and classic length competitive ranked mode?
ie short term comp. Can you get faster rank by playing the mod?

CS GO doesn't use elo, it uses glicko-2. The game counts how many rounds you win, how many clutches you do and how OFTEN you play. If you play more often, it will take longer for you to rank up. So short competitive won't rank you faster because you need to play more rounds.

Everything is based around time spent, with frag giving you a slight bonus to xp. Take deathmatch mode for instance: If you enter and play for the entirety of the 10 mins you will get the full xp. If you enter a game when there is 1 min left or less, you will get pretty much nothing worth of xp.

How exactly? You can play twice the number of matches in the same time period, so it should all be equal at the end of the day. I doubt this will affect ranking at all.

This is the only official forum. It would be logical and nice for the authorized cs go team to give official answers here and ask us about things like some new feature with polls. I don't expect you to understand this.
