Screen tearing in game ( BenQ Zowie XL2411P - 144hz)
Hello guys,
I recently bought a new PC and monitor. I'm trying everything to make my game looks smooth but it is impossible. I have fps 250-400 but screen tearing is so noticeable and it is irritating I barely can play.. I tried many solutions and the only one that actually "worked"(game is smooth) for me was turning ON V-Sync, but it is impossible to play normal with it because input lag is huge.
Getting a monitor that is G-Sync compatible could help I guess, but is there any tips for this one?

It is similar to this one in video

RAM: 16 GB DDR4 G.SKILL Aegis 3000Mhz
Motherboard: Gigabyte B365m DS3H
SSD: Patriot Burst 240 GB.
Power: Riotoro Builder Edition 600w

screen tearing would happen on uncap fps its more likely due to frame timing being inconsistent
the game is broken you can play warthunder on max settings and still gt more fps than csgo on its lowest settings

Yeah but I tried to cap on 144, 288, 300, 143 like every number but when I put lower then 200 tearing is more noticeable. Tried different resolutions also, from 16:9 and 16:10 to 4:3 with HIGH and LOW settings but nothing changed :( .

Literally, unlucky I guess :(.
Use FastSync instead of VSync. In the Nvidia control panel.
check gpu temp and if gpu fan is working. my fan broke and i had massive tears and lag
Its not screen tearing its a common issue on exactly that monitor (i have one myself) u have to turn off the monitor on the button or switch the Hz in nvidia control panel ;P its really suck because i got my one as replacement from xl2411Z to xl2411P :D

The lines goes
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- sometimes fast sometimes slow ;D not much u can do to fix this trust me i have tried

eDIT MONITOR NOT SCREEN

Do you have Nvidia, or Amd?

Make sure it is set to 144hz, it is 60hz, if you dont set it manually.

Right click on desktop, Nvidia controlpanel, choose set resolution. On the right switch from 60hz to 144hz and apply.
Ok well I already know your issue. if you have a 144 Hz monitor and your running at around 400 FPS, your PC is feeding your monitor information and telling it to display that new info faster than its able to. try making CS cap at around 144-180 Hz and see if it makes a difference.

also, make sure its set to full screen. and if your using a 144 Hz monitor, you need to be using a display cable, NOT an HDMI as HDMI does not fully support 144 Hz.

CS:GO never teared for me on (XL2411Z) this issue is actually in the monitor itself from manufacturing and u cant even get replacement for it if u say u have this issue because u can fix the problem temporary ;/

edit: also on csgo u want to get out so many fps as possible even if the hertz is only 144 and i never heard about someone actually getting tearing on csgo like for me never had it then i got this monitor and i wonder is it tearing or not but it was not tearing because i had it just on the desktop too then i searched on it and it was manufacturing problem that they wont fix or replace monitor for ;/

lol glorious pc master race: vsync on - no tearing but input lag, off - tearing and no input lag. :D

if its like this u cant do much beside switching refresh to 120 and back to 144 OR press the off button on the monitor and wait 2 seconds and start it again

Just turn on fast sync. Can you people not read?

cant find any fast sync and having "vsync" enabled doesnt remove scanlines on this monitor xd where is it? so i can try it because only way i know is to change hertz to 120 and back 144 or turn off monitor
