Intel HD 4000 Graphics enough?
Would an Intel HD 4000 be good enough for mid-high settings on 1080p if there is a strong CPU present?
I only get around 11FPS on highest Settings, but with only an Intel I5 3320 2,6Ghz

CSGO is very CPU-Based. GPU affects everything minimally.

yeah but running it on intel graphics is dumb and will yield 30-50 fps depending (that's what I got when I tried on my 8700k's, which is a pretty good 5ghz CPU). Any of the GPUs I mentionned will increase that to 120-250fps+ easy. I can hit 500+ on my 1080ti.

Ye It's enough. Won't be great but ok'
Games that play on Intel HD 4000 graphics

Also Intel HD works slightly different with shaders so it is worth adding a line to the games Launch Options. -noubershader

The Video is sadly not available.

What Resolution and Settings are you referring to?

The games on the list all work with Intel HD 4000 GPU. CS:GO, among others resides on that list. It's an example. What you "will" need is the launch option.

What Im really wondering about is if I get a significantly better FPS when adding a Quadcore or a stronger Dualcore to it? The CPU Design is old but Im wondering if its worth a try

I can only play on absolute lowest settings with the config in the first Post

CS:GO is CPU intensive so yes, if you can get a faster chip for that socket then go right ahead.

Can CS:GO use more than 2 Cores?
Shmm 5/out./2020 às 17:45
Yes. However, I still recommend you use low settings, you can probably keep textures high if you don't want the game to look too blurry but otherwise, keep them low so you'll get a lot of FPS.

Also, Intel Graphic Cards aren't good for games. Get Nvidia or AMD if you can.

Its a laptop so it is only possible to upgrade to a stronger Quad/Dualcore

Intel HD 4000 is ok but you need stronger CPU update to ssd if you have HDD and if you have 4GB Ram update to 8GB Ram
SpongeBooz 5/out./2020 às 21:51
intel hd 4000 is sooooooooooooo old, why people keep buying old hardware, just save for better can take months, but you will like it
miha 5/out./2020 às 21:53
Yes it is old but it is already here.

Do you people still recommend low graphics settings even with a stronger Quadcore and enough RAM?
