Can you get banned in Casual?

Recently, a new wave of hackers seem to appear in CS:GO.

I only play Casual because I can't really commit my time. Hackers appear time to time but not so notorious. Wall hacking, aimbot and etc.

My latest encounter with a wall hacker boastfully and mockingly admits he IS hacking and that he doesn't even need to turn on aim (yeah way to go VAC). But what piqued me is that he seem to also appear everywhere and that his name seem to appear different to everyone.

I thought my game was glitching when I dead cam on him in X location and suddenly my death cam just follows another guy elsewhere. I confirmed this when I was the last one alive with 2 opponent. One of them was jumping out followed by a second person. Killed one and the second dissapeared. Then I got shot from the other side.

Also this fella's community profile only has 1 name (no history) but when on score screen, chat, vote and reported all shows different name.

My concern is, do you get VAC banned in Casual? If you do, how come this person dares to and so boldly hack and admit to it in bright day light?

Yes, you can be banned in casual if VAC detects a cheat running.
No overwatch though, he may get overwatched if he plays MM and has reports.
Your best bet is to report the cheater in game even in casual.

You can get banned at any vac secure servers. Even community servers using vac as their anti cheat

The reports when to their competitive matches. I’ve raged on this acc and others plenty in casual and never got banned from that.
