Rifler or AWPer

Hey guys,

This is my first post, and I need help with a decision.

I am pretty good at both rifling and AWPing, but I feel like choosing between the 2 to main one, and be either an AWPer or Rifler.

So, if we had the worlds best player, which would be more deadly in his hands, a rifler, such as M4A4 or AK47, or an AWP?

In other words, which type of weapon would be more deadly if mastered?

get good enough wth rifles so you dont rely on the AWP as much in comp. Personally, ive been wanting to main AWP for a long time but havent gotten down the rifles yet.

Be like Olofmeister, who can AWP as well as he can rifle. Other examples are f0rest(bae), Neo in 1.6, Pasha, and, KennyS, who is a main awper, but his rifles are very very good. If you do want to be a main awper, I suggest you practice a lot with the scout, and automatic rifles like the M4s and the AK, since the AWP is very expensive and cannot be bought all the time.

Usually because the economy just doesn't allow it. Also you don't want to be handing any over to the other team..

Usually because the economy just doesn't allow it. Also you don't want to be handing any over to the other team..

What makes the AWP so scary though, I mean if you have like great aim, then technically you can one tap someone the same range as an AWP right? So I think what I am really asking is which is more dangerous in the right hands, an AK47/M4A4, or an AWP?

i believe 1 tap with ak same distance with awp is harder. Awp can rather go aggressive or passive supporting the team from behind. For me i will go main awp .

Thanks for your replies guys. I decided to main Rifles, because I feel like they are the much more versatile option, being better at close range and most of the time medium as well.
