New monitor problem.
i have problem with my new monitor Acer Predator xb240h (144hz).I always played on the resolution 1024x768 and i had 250-300 fps, after changing the monitor my fps dropped to 150-200. For most of the match the game is not smooth and sometimes i have lags (not only in cs go) .I have the same settings as before. Any ideas to fix it?

Geforce gtx750 Ti
i5-6400 2.7Ghz

Make sure you turned v-sync off because 150-200 sounds like the graphics card is trying to sync with your monitor. v-sync will create obvious input lag. Ensure you're not using VGA and your monitor refresh is set to 144hz. To get 144mhz, DVI / display port / hdmi is required.

Connect it to a GPU port that can actually output 144hz at a given resolution.

Refreshing is set to 144hz. i can play on 144 hz but i have problem with lags or something like that. Its weird but in nvidia settings i dont have v-sync option. The monitor is connected via DVI. More ideas?

I will try. So if i am playing 1024x768 resolution in game i dont have 144 hz, do i understand correctly ?

OP should be able to play 144hz at a lower resolution. In fact, the lower the resolution, the higher the frame rate.

The description states 144hz at 1920x1080 because it can't run at 144hz if it's 4k or above.

It makes sense but in nvidia i can also set low resolution + 144hz. So its not only work with 1920x1080 i think.

Try running the game at 1920x1080 and see what happens

All of this part of his information is completely false and fundamentally misunderstands what VSync does.

i always have net_graph 1 turned on and it was instant drop when i changed my monitor ;x last 2 games on train i had 200-220 and on mirage 150 fps with huge lags like wtf..

I think you're the one who don't know what vsync is.

vsync bascially tells your graphics card to perform slower so that it won't push too many graphics and stress your monitor. If it's on, your 400fps will become 150-200 if it's a 144hz monitor. It will cause input lag because the graphics draw slower and there are many input information.

Another techonology is G-sync. It works between Nvidia monitors and Nvidia graphics card. The monitor will say "wait, don't send me anything" and there is no input lag.

Anyway, back to OP.. is the problem resolved? sorry for asking a lot of questions, because for every answer, there is a step that can solve the problem..

Did fps dropped the moment you change the monitor? Because your vsync is turned off, it should have no fps drop.

In addition, is the fps counter written by csgo when you type net_graph 1 in the console? or is it a monitor build in counter that doesn't accurately show your current graphics FPS.

This is very interesting... vsync is off, but the moment you changed monitor, fps drops ^ ^;

err.. is vsync on in the nvidia control panel?... just to be sure.
