How to record voicechat in CSGO Using OBS

How do you record voicechat in CSGO using OBS? I'm tryna make a CSGO funny moments video cuz my friends and i always talk about dumb sh*t when we're playing but i don't know the settings in OBS, some say that i should put "Desktop audio" in the settings but it doesn't work, it just records the in game noise (like gunshots, footsteps you get my point)

Sounds weird, but you need to be recording a demo while you record your game in OBS.

For what ever reason, demo recording opens up another audio channel to external applications, allowing programs like OBS record audio, even though it doesn't record anything other than the in-game sound effects.

So, simply type

record <insert your demo namew/o brackets>

And you should be able to hear them in OBS.

If you can't hear your own, you can also type `voice_loopback "1"` if you want.

So can i just download the demo and i can hear the voicechat or do i have to type something in the console?

No, when you want to start recording your game, type `record <demo name>` and then OBS will be able to capture the voice chat in game.

Oh, so i have to be in a game then type 'record asdfghjkl' then OBS will able to capture the voicechat
