Knife inspect - suspicious?

if you have OW on your acc and watch "the Suspect", very often you notice that many of the suspects start inspecting their knives the moment they switch to it for running faster. Literally, even in between short switch from weapon to knife, they inspect it. I just joined a couple of casual matches and the highest fraggers, each and every one were exhibiting the same pattern. And I mean like about 10 players.

Of course, if you have a knife skin, then if makes sense to "show off" etc, or even sometimes you can inspect the un-skint one. But I'm talking about an automated process. There is a button you have to physically press to inspect a weapon, now, why would you do that in combat when each little movement could decide whether you live or get shot.

If the knive inspect and cheating correlates like this, I fear this game is infested even more than I thought..

well, watch any of the OW cases and you see a person aiming through the walls and inspect unskinned knife (skins actually show in replays). Then you see 5h old acc doing the same ingame and you gotta wonder if there's any correlation. Like, why would you inspect default knife each time? makes you wonder..

I know you're making fun of this, dunno, maybe I'm old or something, but to inspect a weapon (default F) you have to perform action (to press inspect key). You run to double door on Long, ispect your knife, you re-equip rifle, check behind door, switch to knife, INSPECT, and at the other side of the door you (2s later) re-equip rifle. I mean, really? I'm pretty sure it is dome script to do with trigger on etc. I mean, who inspect his plain un-skint default knife each time they switch to it? And I mean each and every time. Is it some kind of 'cool' that I just dont know about? xD

For me its when i try to see something if i have a rifle or have more "visibility" (idk spelling) or just relax moment for me but i have seen people and asked them why they inspect and some of them answered with that "its trigger the cheat" idk if its true or they trolled ;)

Well I'm pretty sure there's something fishy about this script-like knife inspect, and i noticed like the OP says it's a signature feature of literally ALL overwatch cases (unless they're spinning xD). So everytime I see camera of a player that does that, I'm suspicious instantly.

Yo, I went through some overwatch case videos on YT , and what you said is definitely correct in most of the cases!! Something's goin on ! Most of the suspects in he videos pull and inspect thier vanilla knife or either spam L-click at almost every moment lol.

People always inspect their guns when they're feeling cocky. usually after they get a multi-kill or make a play and are feeling good. Pretty much everyone does it.. not only cheaters

weapon inspect spam is one of the biggest tells of a cheater, they dont have to care whats going on in the game as all their cheats are telling them whats going on, hence the inspect weapon spam they do

I didin't mean weapon inspect, I meant knife, specifically. It's fishy AF
