'Your Client Needs To Update' - can't play csgo currently

Tried running csgo casually, - it worked yesterday - and now it's telling me to update the game. Opened Steam, looked for updates: None.
Tried opting out of beta, updating, opt back in, update, and then verify files: Still nothing.

Does anyone have an idea how to fix that issue? Haven't really found anything on google either.

I tried all the options of starting. In beta mode.8 I cant download the client update so I changed from Beta mode to OPT OUT restarted and now I no longer need an update but now I cant execute the game because now I get a Cannot VAC authorize"

I'm not a questionable gamer with questionable files. I've had trouble since they release the "trusted factor" update I was forced to use BETA MODE to get TRUSTED FACTOR"

Then you have something running on your computer that interacts with CSGO.

I am having this same problem. I was using the BETA because I couldn't get the trusted mode to work. I have barely have anything installed on this computer, no idea what could be blocking trusted mode.

i turn off beta and now i have fatal eror: failed to connect with local steam client process and i dont have updates....

since today i cant play faceit and matchmaking because it shows "your client needs to update" I just changed from betas to None BUT IT STILL NOT WORKING FOR MY FACEIT ACC, NOW I GOT BANNED FOR 6 DAYS

launch csgo:
open console
type: trusted_launch_info

It will show you the dll's that are blocked.

ALT-TAB out of the game.
right click start -> choose: Windows Powershell (admin)
type: tasklist /svc

It will show you all running processes on your computer.

Post them, if you can't identify the problem causing program.

Because I had my client in Beta mode because of the last 'TRUST FACTOR" now I cant update. Go back to OPT OUT all beta and restart. Yes, I was able to download all current updates, but now I cant play because of the " TRUST FACTOR" so now go back to BETA and now it says " YOUR CLIENT NEEDS TO UPDATE"

so either way I can't play at all !!!

AND NO HELP FROM SUPPORT. They throw stuff out there without testing and half the community cant get going.

OMG!!! I figured out how to solve my trust problem. I went to the settings for the game in Stream and I changed 2 settings to disable Steam overlays and that fixed the problem.

The DEFAULT Stream settings for Overlays is causing Trusted Mode to fail. WTF

Strange, I normally have it turned off, but I just tested it with turning it on, and it's still launching in trusted mode.

I had this same issue and did this, and it fixed it.

Put " -trusted " in your CSGO launch options (without the quotes) and it will always launch csgo in trusted mode. It fixed the problem for me.
