bright white color in the game
Faced a problem after reinstalling Windows, that only in cs go (in other games it is normal with white) it is too bright and hurts the eyes. And not only in the game, but also in the steam overlay (browser). In the monitor itself, I changed the settings so that the white color was not so bright, but then the game itself becomes dull and dark. I also changed it in nvidia, in windows settings, xbox. Deleting files in the task manager, reinstalling the game, fixing errors, updating the drivers on the computer all to no avail.
I do not know what to do, because my eyes are very sore from this white color, but I want to play.

can you post a picture of what's actually happening? If you can screenshot it, it's fixable but if you can't capture it in a picture and you can only show us what's happening through a photo picture, then its a problem with your monitor causing the problem in csgo only. what is your monitor, your GPU, your graphics driver version?

I cannot take a screenshot because the image on the monitor itself and in other games is good. only in cs go it is bright white, if I take a photo, this white color will not be visible, but now I will try
my monitor benq xl2411p

I contacted Microsoft and Steam support and no one helped me
here is a screenshot
on the first there will be a full screen mode and on the second in the window and in the window the white color is normal

to me it looks allright. there's no blanking going on in that picture so the problem is your monitor. Try to reset it as it might have some settings that are lightening up the image your monitor thinks is too dark.

but it only showed up after reinstalling. I tried to set it up in the monitor itself, but there is nothing there and with all games in steam it is normal, in cs 1.6 normal white color and overlay, only in cs go the problem

Could you take a picture with your phone and post it to a site like imgur.com?

I don't see a lot of difference, honestly. But I see you took those pictures in a dark room. That can affect perception of screen brightness and might also cause your eyes to tire. Use some indirect lighting when using a computer.

your monitor adapts the lighting depending on the ambient. When it's too dark in the room, your monitor will display a much brighter picture and vice-versa. try atleast to play with the light bulb on in your room during night time and see how it goes.

so why is this white color only in the cs go version? in other games in any light it is normal, but in cs go never. im not only talking about the game, but also about the browser in the overlay. browser in normal color overlay in other games, in cs go it is bright white

Have you tried reinstalling steam? Or just change the monitor to a TV or something and see if it's the same.

I meant you could try to unplug your monitor and use a TV instead to see if the problem persists.

it has to do with the launch parameter. -freq 144
if I remove it, then the white color is normal, but how can I make it so as to play at 144 Hz
