Random beeping noise whenever game is launched and during gameplay. Pls help.
I'm going to get straight to the point. After my Faceit Anticheat had an update a few days ago (I
hadn't used it in months so it had updates) I had to restart my PC. Before that me and my friends played a game of Valve matchmaking and everything was fine, but after the PC restart during warmup i noticed some beeping noise during gameplay. I asked my friends if they hear anything and they said it's probably just some Faceit sound that's on to remind people they have a game/queue to join or whatever and said it would go away after warmup. Spoiler alert - it didn't. I noticed it would occur everytime I press the left Alt key on my keyboard (that's my weapon inspect key). It seemed very bizarre and i tried to ignore it, but it made it very difficult to concentrate and in turn made the game frustrating to play. I restarted my game to see if it would help, but it didn't. While i was restarting i checked if the sound would play when on the desktop and it didn't. Upon launching the game during the black screen at the beginning (i have -novid in launch options) I heard the beep without pressing anything on my keyboard, which was strange. I rejoined my Faceit game and it had gotten even worse, as now it made the sound everytime i pressed any of the sticky keys (which i have turned off in windows) and the W key. The biggest difference this time was that an FPS counter appeared in the top left side of my screen and disappeared/appeared everytime I would press one of the above-mentioned keys. It's just a big green Fraps-like FPS-counter and what's worse is that it doesn't show correct FPS values. My net_graph 1 and my MSI Afterburner(RivaTuner Statistics Server) show completely different numbers. At first I thought it was something from Afterburner and RivaTuner as they are the only programs I have that are supposed to have any sort of FPS overlays, so I turned them off and it didn't help. After we finished that painful game I went to restart my PC once again and that surprisingly fixed it, but when i tried playing CS today it happened again and a restart didn't help this time. What is extremely strange is it didn't happen while playing other games, except for CS:GO, even from Steam, until I decided to try Portal 2 and it happened there aswell. At first it seemed like it was somehow connected with Valve games, but when i tested it on CS 1.6 nothing out of the ordinary happened. So far i haven't found anything helpful online and couldn't really identify, let alone fix the issue. The only thing i managed to find is that for some reason the sound doesn't come from the game but from the Windows System Sounds in the Volume Mixer. When i muted the System Sounds from the mixer the sound stopped, but still everytime i press Ctrl to crouch or Alt to inspect my weapon the big, green FPS counter turns itself on and off, which is still very annoying. The only thing i haven't tried is uninstalling faceit and all of it's files. Some problems i found online included overheating of CPU/GPU, the AMD Radeon Chill turning on and off (I disabled all of the Radeon features and all of the hotkeys and it still happens), in some sources it says i could've had a windows update, to which I did, I installed it, restarted the PC and it was still there, so that wasn't the problem. Below will be some screenshots that display the issue. (btw i don't have Fraps installed)

PC Specs (which i don't think are important, but i will leave them here anyway)
Intel i5 6400
ASUS AMD Radeon RX 580 4GB Vram
16GB DDR4 Ram
Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit (non-activated version)

Well i don't recall ever creating any profiles in the new Radeon Settings 2020 edition, i just remember turning off global settings that i thought were useless.

Btw does that sound sound anything like some sort of something turning ON/OFF, because for me it isn't just a simple beep. It also happened when launching and using Wallpaper Engine, which isn't even a game.

Yeah for me it sounds like 4 beeps, first one is higher pitched, then followed by 2 lower ones and then last one is higher pitched as well. Maybe we are talking about 2 different things.

That fps counter is from fraps, check your running programs for that counter by closing them and checking.

I'm experiencing that beeping during launch, too.

I have checked all the processes and running programs before posting, but because of your post i tried again and turned off every process excluding Steam that isn't located in System32 or related to windows. And once again - I don't have Fraps.

And btw it has now started happening in all games, not just CS:GO.

Well it could be either your cheat injecting, or the sticky keys prompt popping up
It Is due to the new AMD 2020 drivers software i believe, to let you know the profile for the game is active. I have beeping in cs go when launching the game as well.

Seems possible, but why does it only happen with steam games. I tested with non-steam games such as Minecraft, osu! and League of Legends and it didn't happen there.

Did you make a profile for the games that it's beeping in ? If so, remove the profile and see if it fixes the problem.

And i also now discovered it only happens with ALL steam games from MY library, but doesn't seem to happen with games from shared libraries from Family sharing.

Ok THANK YOU MAN, I've fixed it. It really WAS the Radeon Settings. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. It seems that the software makes profiles automatically and for every game that was in a list, that i thought was "just a list for games" but it turns out its games it has made profiles for itself. Thanks for the help, but i still dont get the whole deal with the FPS counter and me not finding a single setting regarding any overlay/fps counter or whatever the ♥♥♥♥. Thanks mr. el disablo. And yes the sound was the same.
