Can't change agent's gun in main menu

How do i change what gun the agent is holding in the main menu? My guy refuses to drop the m249 he's holding and i can't change it.

I click on different weapons and the agent still holds the m249 in the main menu. I've tried inspecting and replacing characters but nothing changes.

yeah tried that and verifying game cache, the sas dude just keeps on holding the m249. I tried equipping usp, m4a4, mag-7, etc and still nothing :(

if this is still an issue for cs2 on the main home screen at the bottom right side there are 3 lines that is where you change the agent gun and scenery for the home page.
