Cannot execute cfg file on dedicated server
To keep it short: I have a cfg that always worked for me on offline, but yesterday i made myself a cs go server, and the same cfg file doesn't execute, that's obvious because those commands were regular commands (without rcon in front), so i duplicated the file added this line on top (rcon_password myPassword), and modified every other command (that was global, so i didnt modify commands like: buy this, buy that) with adding rcon in front of that command. However it still doesn't work! CS GO console outputs this after typing exec myScriot:
Execing config: rcon
exec: couldn't exec rcon

I hope this all makes sense. Also other thing i thought about is to directly upload that script to the server's CFG folder, but i can't figure how to exec a server cfg instead of my local one, rcon myScript doesn't work

Using a single rcon command like:
rcon sv_cheats 1
works fine

Do you have any special characters like ëà or something in that file?

No i do not; But i have found a fix for it, (you need sourcemod for this): I added the script to the server's cfg directory, and modified the adminmenu_cfgs.txt file from sourcemod, it's somewhere in sourcemods cfg's, i needed to specify the path and filename for the script under the "Configs" Method, give it a name, after that you can open sm_admin, go to the exec cfg, click on the one you created and with that you can exec any script through sourcemod, good enough for me.

You don't need sourcemod for that it's just that you need to type it like this

Rcon_password "The password"

Exempel rcon_passoword "CSGO"

Then after that rcon exec server.cfg

posting the cfg would help to find potential errors. ofc without your passwords and on pastebin

Okay, so i logged on mine server today, and i tried it once again, rcon exec myscript. And suddenly it started working, i made some changes in multiple server configs, yesterday evening, so i am not sure at all what made it work. "myscript" did not change at all, so that's certainly was not the problem. If you have this problem, all i can suggest is to go through all your server configs, and see if anything is set at a odd value, and make it better, i guess that worked for me.

I know this is super old, but I found a fix. The final thing that gets execed is the Sourcemod.cfg in csgo/cfg/sourcemod. You have to edit settings there.
