Buying Keys In-game VS On market

hey guys ive always been confused as to why people are willing to pay more to buy keys on the market rather than in game which is a few cents cheaper as either way u still will not be able to trade them for 7 days and this has always crossed my mind but i never could be bothered figuring out the reason

quite frank i feel embarassed to not knowing why this is as ive been a long term trader since 2014 and have cashed out multiple times lmao

and I dont get why anyone would buy in game instead of opskins lol^^ it's WAY cheaper. or you can go to the shady site of steam and buy from some bot for less then $2

maybe but i just saw someone put on orders for about 20 keys at a price 40c more than what they cost in game only to visit his profile to see that he used them all to unbox so clearly csgo was already running for him

plus he would of had to wait for someone to put their keys 3-4 cents cheaper to buy them

Csgo key could be traded with any steam items not only csgo

Yes it could be dota or steam trading cards or else. With the stable value I think.

Currencies are different; in different parts of the world the csgo key in-game would cost 4$ and in the market it would be 3.5$ ^^
