Error "s1 has game files with invalid signatures and is not allowed to join VAC secure servers."
Dear Community and Valve,

Thank you for the project.

When trying to find a match using the matchmaking system, an error appears:
s1 has game files with invalid signatures and is not allowed to join VAC secure servers.

We have already checked the files integrity. In the result, 1 file was redownloaded (98.8 KB).
The title and OS are up-to-date. Never used and never will use cheats - not the issue source.

With such an error, the title doesn't let to join any official/VAC secured server.

What to do? How to fix?

In some Discord server some person helped. They found some Reddit post which said:
Had this issue, verifying game cache files didnt work. Open the console--->waaaay above all the text you'll find a message in yellow You'll find a line above or under it a message saying that X file is corrupted or missing i don't remember. Find it in your folders, delete it, verify game cache files, play

Although, when tried to do what this suggestion says, thus, join MM and view console it just continued to search and joined without any issues. wat?

The issue fixed itself somehow. I am sorry... I wish I had the same environments to compare/investigate...

ya but the only thing that is related to files is "Resource materials\panorama\images\icons\ui\globe.svg failed to load."

I'm having the same issue. Verified the game files several times, but the error is still there.

I tried to locate such a file but no luck from me.

force quit steam bootstrapper in task manager, then restart steam. seemed to work for me.

Didn't fix it. tried restarting my computer, restarting steam, re-logging in, switched to beta version 1.3.9 - none of it works
With the beta, I get the "VAC signature error"
With the latest version, I get the "s1 has game files with invalid...." error

Even got prime status hoping that'll help, but doesn't work.
weekend wasted trying to get this to work :(
