Release notes for July 8 Update

[Trusted Mode]

• Players now launch CS:GO in Trusted mode by default
  
• While in Trusted mode, third party software will be blocked from interacting with CS:GO
  
• To allow third party software to interact with CS:GO, you can start the game with the -untrusted launch option. Note that in this case your Trust score may be negatively affected.
  
• A backwards compatibility label “1.37.5.9” is temporarily available for players experiencing difficulty launching the latest version of the game.
  
• If you are a third party developer, all of your DLLs that interact with CS:GO must be digitally signed.
  
• If your customers would like to use third party software that is not digitally signed, they can start the game with the -insecure launch option. Note that they will not be able to join VAC servers with this option.

[MISC]

• Fixed a regression to reenable twitch.tv streams in the “Watch tab”
  
• In addition to the launch options, you can also control Trusted Mode from the in-game settings (but a game restart is required)
  
• net_graph now displays the game's current "ClientVersion" parameter next to choke statistics

[Possible fixes for issues]

• Mouse lag + FPS drop
  1. Lowering polling rate of mouse to 250 if available.
  2. Using '1.37.5.9' version in the beta tab.
  
  
• Unable to start game in Trusted Mode
  1. Un-check 'Run as Administrator' for csgo.exe
  2. Using '1.37.5.9' version in the beta tab.
  3. Browse local files and find trustedlaunch.cfg file here:
  
  

  userdata -> <random_id> -> 730 -> local -> cfg

  
  Open it with Notepad, if any DLL's are listed, that's what is probably causing the error.

I really feel telling people to look into that file was a mistake, but it might give you some clues on what to fix. 200GB SSD is like 20 dollars at bestbuy. get a new one and fresh install windows and the only things you need for the game and then try. Its what i would do if i was having all these problems like you guys.

In my file trustedlaunch.cfg. I found out that CSGO is blocked by a program RocketDock.dll that for shortcuts to the desktop. This is so stupid.

is it a signed dll? if it isnt then it isnt stupid. signing a dll means it is authenticated and not some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ masked as a word.exe

Do you really believe that all developers in the world will run to sign their "dll"? The program that I use for beauty on my desktop has not been updated for many years. I don’t understand how it can affect the game. I hope the CSGO will automatically block such programs, instead of having to terminate the program every time.

Does anyone had an issue with trusted mode where when you move your mouse (ingame ofc) you got massive FPS drop (from 400 to 30-60). May it be beacuse i got steelseries mouse + steelseries engine (where i switched off cs:go app) and cs:go somehow is blocking part of this program?

I seam to have same issue, really low FPS count & really non-responsive commands, take 10 mouse click top quit the game.

So i used to have this fps issues high variance and game crashing i found out a solution the main problem i faced was windows not uptodate which is 1909 and needed to reinstall the cs and now on all high settings i get 80fps

Ok I've managed to fix my issue very easily.
Basically, just open Task Manager, go to Background Apps, and end all tasks from apps that can have in-game overlay (such as: Razer Apps, Alienenware Command Center, etc) basically all apps that can interact with CS:GO. Expect Discord and Steam. Then it should work.

please do update valve or end this update for now or do more tests before release but in my opinion trust factor obviously will not work (my opinion), i cant use my anti-virus and nvidia driver its very bad update

Im not saying do anything...

what im saying is that if you are having issues and cant figure them out, an ssd is cheap, try playing the game on a fresh install.

its the scientific method.
