Help with mouse sensitivity (bug?)
So, I've been having some weird things happen with my cs:go sens. Everything feels fine in game, but the actual sensitivity number doesn't align with what others experience. My sensitivity in csgo is 2.75 with 400 dpi, which is just over 180 turn sensitivity on a steelseries qck (12.6 inches). From all other people I've talked to, 180 degrees on this distance should be more around 2 sens, or even less.
This wouldn't be a problem, except I really am trying to get better at the game and I like to practice using Kovaaks aim trainer game. Also, I want to be able to have the same sensitivity in games like valorant. However, none of the online converters for sensitivity, yes, even the advanced ones, have worked for me.
In kovaaks aim trainer, for source and 2.75 with 400 dpi is significantly faster than my sens feels in csgo. In addition, any calculators to switch to valorant sens end up making the sens way too fast. From what friends have said, 2.75 at 400 dpi is much more than 180 sens on their computers. So from what I can gather, somehow my cs:go sens feels slower than the sensitivity number represents.

I play in 1440p in fullscreen with raw input on. My mouse is a Razer Deathadder, but I don't think that should matter because the difference is game to game, and the mouse still works fine. Anyone know why my csgo sens doesnt really work as it should? or why calculators dont work for me? I would appreciate help so I can use other games to get better at csgo.

It was a really long time since I used a Razer mouse but I believe that it's possible that you're Razer mouse have a similar function as my Logitech mouse have trought the Software program that they all have, Razer using the "Razer Synapse" and Logitech using "Logitech G Hub/LGS"

Check you're Razer Synaps program to see if there's a separate profile for your mouse running when you launch CS:GO if you havent check that already, Logitech have a feature like that, and it's just a matter of turning it off.

Hope that might help you!

Are you confusing 180° with 360°? Sorry I had to ask haha. It could be Razer Synapse ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with your sens. It happened to me before when I used to use a deathadder. Eventually I just switched to a ec2a because it was a pain in the ass
no it's definitely 180, but yeah I thought it could be synapse too

Do you think this is a problem unique to counter strike?

Not necessarily but the reason why I think it could be, is because CS:GO is such a popular game, that a profile for the game might exist in Razer Synaps and LGS by default.
Whether or not that feature, to have separate profiles for sertain games, is enabled by default I really dont know.
I dont think it is enabled by default but it sure is worth having a look at.

Im using Logitech gear, and Im using that game-by-game profile feature to have my Headsets switch to a different EQ when playing CS:GO and some other games. :)

Unload Razer Synapse and play to see if the result is different. If it is, the software likely has a profile that is affecting the mouse.

I would not sugest to do that, because that might actually affect the mouse while not actually be the source of the actual problem.
Uninstalling Razer Synaps, the program that controls the mouse, might make the mouse default to a standard/build-in DPI, if the mouse used dont have an internal memory to save your DPI to OR even if the mouse have an internal memory but you dont have a DPI saved to it you'il be screwed anyways.

I said unload, not uninstall. It's only for testing. The intent IS to have the mouse act in a default manner to see if the software is causing the problem. It's part of troubleshooting.
