How can i play CS:GO without Steam running in the background?
It drains too much memory, i really hope there is a way to do this. Maybe even lighten the impact? Any tips to make Steam run easier or not run at all when i play the game would be appreciated.

If you want Steam to use less memory write the -no-browser launch óption before opening Steam

Not a csgo launch option!

Make a shortcut on Steam in Desktop, right click properities

Where you see written the rute where steam is installed (On the right side of that text) press space once and write -no-browser

If you dont see the library and you see the old Steam chat, then you did all correctly

How do i open games now (becuase you wont have library with that launch option enabled)?

Windows + R and write

steam://rungameid/730

Press enter after that

730 is the id for csgo

Alt-Tab, to Steam and close it manually, or Ctrl-Alt-Del to Task Manager and close Steam. I've never tried this, so I'm not sure if it'll make you appear offline, but it should work in theory.

Steam has to be running to play online.

Steam takes about 500MB on start and then goes down to 400MB (for me).

If your PC can't handle that, CSGO is going to run very poorly too.

In Steam settings > Library is low bandwidth mode. If you don't then use that.
Restart steam but don't interact with client, close it with the x in top right corner.
Launch cs:go from the task bar clock area, right click.
Not sure but don't sign in to friends? you should still be visible in-game. Never tried that.

The less you interact with client the better.
Get more memory?

nope over 300fps avg, (locked on 120 cus refresh) i only want this becouse it takes like 20% mem wich is just too much for steam.

edit: it takes more for me then 500mb yes. It's not really about the constant fps its more about the drops

Go to view / settings / in-game then untick the enable in game interface box, it wont really close steam tho but if you want to squeeze some fps by disabling some steam features that might help.

I doubt FPS drops are from Steam.
