If it's a Level 0 account with no friends or anything: probably not very trustworthy.
If it's an account like mine: 15+ years, multiple games, not just here to play CSGO - that's going to be a better Trust Factor variable.
We are never told exactly how it works but as someone who's: written some guides, some reviews, has years of comments on the profile, many posts on forums without bans, etc - my Trust Factor has always been green/good.
This isn't to say if you just buy a ton of cards and craft your way from level 15 to 40 you'll be THAT much more Trust Worthy - it's probably not a huge factor in the overall scheme but we honestly will never know for sure.
To your thread:
Steam level doesn't increase your tf. Same with guides, artworks etc.
We tested it out over more than one year now on different accounts and it didn't change anything at all.
With "beeing a good user" it's meant that you shouldn't get bans or cooldowns.
You also start with a high tf in the first place. For example this account right here has a pretty good trust factor and it's not even one year old and hasn't many hours. The steam level was level 1 or something like that before the steam summer sale where it was easy and basically free to boost a lot of level.
Keep in mind that there a lot of good player in this game and it could look like cheat for a new player. It's quite usual that people create new accounts to beat new / lower skilled player because it's fun to them, but they don't cheat. So maybe your tf isn't low but face some of those people (called smurfs).
Hope you still enjoy the game and I hope that you won't face many cheater or smurfs.
1. Don't report players who give you headshots, with practice you will also learn how to give headshots (By reporting fair players you actually decrease your Trust Factor)
2. Be nice to everyone
3. Don't get cooldowns
4. Don't abandon Competitive Matches
5. Don't get kicked
6. Don't be toxic
In short be a positive member of the community
:)
