Run and gun with pistol possible?

When I try to run and gun with a pistol, my xhairs aware wide open and bullets fly everywhere but hitting the actual target. Yet I see people running straight at me with deadly accuracy, and half the time, they are strafing as well. Am I missing something (besides the target)?

You are only remembering the times they're hitting you and not all the misses. You cannot run and gun accurately in this game.

Some pistols are very accurate while running. The glock is very good for that. Other pistols are also okayish for run and gunning. The only very inaccurate pistol while running and gunning is basically the deagle.
Also maybe the enemies were in motion on your screen but they already stopped. That's sadly one of the bad things in this game which was better in older cs titles.

Depends on what pistol it is. USP-S has high accuracy, even when moving. Tec-9 has bad accuracy while moving.

Tec-9 and Five-Seven are best for run and gun, but not reqremended, just use mp9/mac-10

Also, if you wanna improve your accuracy/practice, you should check out some of the workshop maps.

You shouldn't talk when you don't even know that the deagle is a two-hit-kill on close to mid range with a chest hit. You don't even understand my comment.

Your answer doesn't fit to my comment at all. My comment was a direct answer to the person who said that the tec9 has bad accuracy while moving. I disagreed with him with reasons. So your comment with the cz and deagle isn't even part of my comment and thus your comment didn't make sense.

They're probably counter strafing, or they're using SMG's, you can definitely run and gun with any SMG.
