Why is the game constantly updating?

Every day and sometimes multiple times a day the game has small updates. What's going on?

Valve is clearly updating CS:GO because of Valorant. They have ripped features from Valorant in updates, like the crosshair update. If that isn't proof enough then I don't know what is.
