Why pings close to 100 ms considered bad?
I know that pings/latencies around 500 ms actually mean one half second back from the server events and sure are unplayable but come on , 100 ms is only the 1/10th of a second , you can barely tell it apart when you hear a metronome of 600 BPM (bits per minute or 100 ms interval between a bit) that means the server event and what you see is only one bit away of that 600 per minute, but it is considered a bad ping on games like CSGO , maybe because the majority of players who live close to datacenters are spoiled with pings < 20 ms. But , I believe that there is not only this latency involving, there is also human reaction time, which averages on 300 ms and it is still 3 times more slow than network latency.

EDIT: I mention about 100 ms constant ping , not just lag spikes which reach 100 ms and that's unstable ping with jitters.

100 is alright, not great but it's not unfair.
At 200 you're at a serious disadvantage.
At 300+ you're unkillable =p

I think that seriously the network latency des not impact so much when:

Let it human reaction time averages 300 ms.

Network latency is 10 ms: -> Total latency is around 310 ms , minimal difference.

Network lantecy is 100 ms -> Total latency is 400 ms , you start feeling minimal difference.

But there are times when you play for example with 50 ms , but it feels like 200...
