awping is a special skill, you have to train that muscle specifically. Teams don't need so many awpers so that skill is more specialized, so don't get too down on yourself if you're not a great awper/

Sensitivity doesn't really matter. I have a highsens and am an awp player.

Do u really wanna play awp? You don't need it. I know many people who're beasts with rifle and can't play awp even with 15 years exp etc.
When they pick an awp they switch to pistols. :D

Playing awp is much harder. Your positioning, game sense, reaction time, aim, ... everything must be on another level. Thats the reason many good teams stand or fall depending on the awp player.

You have one shot. The one shot decides the first frag in many cases. This shot decides often which team will win the round. And the awp is expensive, so you have to give your team a big effort playing well with it.

I love this role. It fits to my character. The question is: Does is fit for you?

You need low sensitivity and a big mousepad. But I would look for a team and be the Rifler or IGL.
You must know prefire spots. For example when you are T you can peek long with Awp (Easier than ak)
Hope it helps but if you want to be Awp player you must practice a lotn retake servers and ffa servers. Play with real players and have a team. In Europe we have many toxic Russians. You are lucky there :D

Sensitivity:
Windows Sensitivity: 6/11
In-game Sensitivity: 1.1
1680 Dpi

This is my sens. You don't need to play with a low sens. This is something some randoms try to explain to you.

Sensitivity is 100% personal preferencesdepending on your exp with cs and other games, your gamestyle etc.

Btw. the best aimplayer ever(with 1shot weapons)were the quake player. And they had a high sens. And I mean a freaking highsens like mountains.

Btw. what's important is your hand position on your mouse.

I'm a rare fingertip player. So my control is perfect - as an awp player with a higher sens.

Find your own style.

Yeah i would like to be atleast average with it, i focus more on rifles, but sometimes you dont have a rifle, example: you are in Cache holding Garage and an awp tries to peek and you kill him and you are in a 1v3. Then ill only have an awp and im bad with it thats the matter. I want to be average with it and dont miss easy shots and if i save an awp and i have to use it i want to be able to do something with it.

I know what you mean bro. :) And you're right.

I guess the best tipp for you is this:
Don't think about your next shot. Don't be nervoes and just let your instinct and reflex kill the enemy.

The sens doesn't improve your gameplay when you change it because other say it to you. I have a tipp for you in this case too:
When you aim on a target - no matter which weapon you use - do u aim too far, directly on him or not far enough?

If you aim too far: reduce your sense(0.1 reduction is enough, stick with it for some hours and rewatch your aimfeeling)
If you aim on point: Don't change anything.
If you aim not far enough: Make your sens higher (0.1 points)

What matters too is that you feel good on every sort of range (next to you, mid and far range).

Oh and one thing i highly recommend: don't aim on the head. I know. Rifleplayer would kick my ass for that, but an awp player is aiming on the upper body (breast/belly). This count for prefirezones etc. too. Your crosshairplacement is slightly different with an awp.
In most wars i have a headshotquote under 20%. But an accuracy from 50%. That's insane and important.

I'd just like to add that your problems with the awp sound similar to mine OP. One thing I've noticed about myself is I often rush my shots with the awp and I'll miss easy shots like nest to a guy jumping from t-side-top-mid to boxes on mirage.
BrigadierRosen Jun 18, 2017 @ 8:23am
Practise shot control and 'hard shots' rather than quick flicks since people end up getting killed when they flick targets they should be aiming on properly.

sens is personal preference, and windows sens only works when you take raw input off.
