Accounts with 1100+ commendations are FAKE? Could it link to cheat accounts?

Hey guys, I've been starting to notice more and more accounts in CS with around 1000-1100+ commendations, of all 3 types of commendation. The range of each commendation type are often suspiciously close together. In these cases I often look at their playtime and find that often it mathematically does not make sense. Accounts with >1000 hours but 1000+ commendations? Do you genuinely think anyone would believe they are legitimate?! One would have to spend every split second in-game and receiving commendations for 100% of their games.

I've had enough, I want to understand what Valves regulations are on this - is it treated as in-game cheating and can you report players for this and can they be banned for it? I feel this is not the case as what report category does it come under? A number of people are obviously buying commendations for their accounts, maybe to make them look more legitimate? Which leads to a significant point, accounts with these fake commendations are highly likely to be bought cheat accounts. Would you agree with this statement? I personally do not see how someone could legitimately reach these numbers. Even if they asked, every single game, for commendations, the spread of the values of each commendation type would be much greater.

Comment if you've noticed accounts like the ones described above. Maybe Valve could implement something to directly address this issue that detriments the commendation system for other players, and maybe it could provide insight into cheat accounts. Maybe accounts reported for *suspicious statistics* could be evaluated closely over a period of time - a correlation between accounts with high commendation to playtime ratio with a low range of commendation type values AND cheat accounts could be detected.

I write this because I genuinely detest in-game cheating in competitive and multiplayer games. It truly does ruin the experience for new and old players, and I feel this could be a useful gateway to taking out a lot of cheat accounts.

They are fake. It's very popular to buy commends (last couple of months), so you'll see many accounts that have 100 hrs and 500 commends..

personally what I do like to see is a proper end game commend screen rather then right clicking names in score board and then commend

Exactly, I wish they would do something about this. It's like a honeypot for cheat accounts, Valve could so easily link these accounts to other hacking and remove them.

Since farmed commends don't add value, just like Achievements, Valve ignores them. We should too.

It's because some belive that commends lead to high TF. Which is obviously not the case

yes they are rare, but some people farm them for fun or to make themselves look better, they even use bots for it.
