Headshot Horror

What the hell man, every time someone headshots me by suprise I jump away from my pc. This headshot sound effect wtheell, it's more like a jumpscare.
Valve needs to soften the headshot sound a lil bit, sometimes I raise the volume up so I can hear better, then when I get headshoted from behind it scares me like hell. It's like playing that maze game when you reach the end you get jumpscared.

To be honest that headshot sound effect is not realistic at all. I know CS:GO is not a simulator or something but the sound doesn't make no sense of what it does actually happen

I actually have the same problem 😂 I always play with relatively high volume to hear the footsteps so imagine if I get headshoted from there back while walking 😂

It's an iasue for years now and you're right. Hopefully they will reduce it soon.

It's not about my headphones if I low the volume or not. The headshot sound effect has always been like a jumpscare and it always startles me when I get headshoted by suprise. Unlike the guns sound, it has never been updated. It's not even realistic.
