Is this a scam? Pattern ID

I got a Butterfly Case hardened and since then i get like 3 scam tries the day. One is that they invite me to an "tournament" from razer. This tournament isnt real ofc.(I think) They are asking me for my Pattern ID. I tell them the pattern and then they say they want to know the pattern id and send me a link to itemwiki.com . I dont know if it is a scam because I never heard about a pattern ID. Help...pls.

use this method to see if the site is a scam

pattern ID is a real thing, but that can be obtained in game, you don't need to go to a site.

they are finding you through one of your steam groups most likely the csgo lounge one or it could be the trading one

Yeah and also you can see everyones Skin ID's and Floats even if the skin is not in your inv

Thank you all for quick answer i thought i will wait for couple of days. Usually when you go to a site like Skinbaron, when you log in you will be headed to an other site. On this scam links there opens a second window and its always on english. My Windows isn't and on skinbaron it is the same lanugage like my Windows but i got like 4 messages with this Pattern ID thing so i wasnt sure. Thx a lot.

3 scammers seem too few. Expect 10+..

I got the knife 2 days ago and got 11 or 12 scam messages. 2 comments and the rest were this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with the tournament. it were only 3 scamers with this pattern ID thing xD

There is no such a thing as requiring you to visit a site to check the pattern ID, by inspecting your item players can obtain the pattern ID themselves. Stay safe.

- Do not visit websites. They aim to steal your ID and PW with fake logins.
- Do not trade your item.
- Do not be manipulated by scammers.

i had the same problem with scammers a little while ago had a cull of my steam groups and haven't had a scammer invite for about 6 months its been nice but im sure it was the csgo lounge one i was getting them from

Ok thank youbut its kinda funny to write with these people. I got a message from a guy at 1 am. he said that they need one more player to participate in a tournament wich is ofc fake. I asked when the tournament begins and he said 2 am. I mean wich tournament starts at 2 am. xD he instantly removed me from friend list.

i would only log in trusted websites and triple check to see if the website is the real one
