rather annoying BUG (chat stuck, valve pls fix)

I am sure I'm not the only one who noticed: If you type something in team- or allchat, and are not done typing before the round ends, the chat gets stuck open and the keyboard gets frozen.

Example: you and your mates are the only ones left, it is 15:7, you are together on site and you just got killed, your mate is now in a 5 v 1 with 5 hp, and you know thats it, game is over. you type "ggw-" in chat and suddenly you cant type, you cant ESC out of chat. So now everybody else gets to talk about the game for a bit, or look at stats, an you are stuck; silenced; alone.

Now if you hit enter just shortly before the game ends, or open chat just shortly after game ends, everything is fine. you get to chat, say thx for the game, or what have you.
PS.: the keyboard stuck thing is not limited to chat, the push to talk button is also frozen, so you cant even verbaly say thx and goodbye.

Valve, pls fix.

I have this SAME exact problem. I thought I was alone. As a guy who doesn't have a mic, I type a lot, and this is sooooo annoying. I wish there was a way to fix it.

i'm mid sentence or recently type a message at the end of the game, the game ends, and the chat window is frozen and there's no way to get out or do anything else. can't check scoreboard, can't talk, etc.

hitting escape and then pressing the chat button again works. It's not annoying anymore after so many years of getting used to it

Yesterday i wrote on r/GlobalOffensive a same post with this common issue and i asked for help due to the mean time the bug is still in the game. I leave here some of solutions people gave from my reddit and maybe it could be up-to-date so i will manage to share with you guys more best tips in advance.

Personally i think this small bug cause the Devs being lazy to fix, it is something like an "overlay" issue that disables your cursor/mouse to click on things except the map selection and scoreboard, which thus causes a temporary "chat stuck". To bypass/skip/evade the chat stuck, you can do:

• 1. Open Developper Console Panel (Settings > Games > Enable Developer Console (~), Shortcut key " ` ") type in with: say or say_team and insert some texts u wanna say to people in chat, plus you can do this at anytime.

  say_team ur skills suck did u see my clutch?
  

  Note: it's best to bind these commands to have fun with them.
  

  alias +ReloadSay "+reload; say_team RELOADING, A BIT SCAB";
  alias -ReloadSAY "-reload";
  bind R +ReloadSay
  

• 2. Ignore the solution 1,just right click everywhere whenever the chat get "stuck" then things'd back to normal.
  
  
• 3. This one's just something... informative, may not be useful like those 2 above, but welp, hey, timing it easy, the temporary "bug" will no longer active until the game finished counting your Rank XP then the map selection shows, and not yet, you only have to press the "SEND" button to activate the chat again.
  
  
• 4. Myth says the audio chat had same issues with the text chat, just like the "chat stuck" the audio has an "mute enabled" feature and sadly i can't find any solution that bests with this, but it is a minor uncommon bug, if you get this try to do the solution number 2 and 3.(Or rather keep holding the voice button once the game ends).

The bug is still there, but it is pretty obvious that VALVEs CSGO team do NOT care about csgo any more, only cash farming, it is pretty clear since they dont give a damn about the fact that VAC is USELESS, they game is full of cheaters, and less and less cheaters are caught. Just check the vac ban stats and see how FEW is banned daily now and se the difference from just a 6 months ago, the fact that the overwatch dont work at all in ANYWAY, how they keep not giving the community their wish of 128 tick servers. They do care if some idiotic youtuber say anything, but these youtber RARELY play MM, so VALVE IGNORE those who dont give a flying Duke Nukem about YouTube or their "content (trash) Creators".

Its insane how little the csgo team even care about this game anymore. And why dont people speak up for crying out loud. DONT buy their god forsaken cases anymore. Make them feel that if they dont care, neither should the community. Even the, butt of duke nukem, "pro" scene is a damn joke these days, teams hiring cheaters. WTF. Fogg Valorant and i am almost there where i am to say Fogg csgo as well if they dont show some bloody care Very very very soon!
I love this game, but i do NOT love the way it has become and how abandoned the game has become from the csgo teams side

VALVE FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIX!, fire the duke nukems scrotum people in the team and let PROPER and SKILLED devs come through and fix the game once and for all!

such an extremely annoying bug.... bugs like this that have been around for forever really REALLY tick you off as a player... how long does it take to fix 1 little error? It just tells me that the developers dont play their own game lol...

yeah, its annoying, although to fix you can click on the chat box with your mouse
