Should I use g-sync for csgo?
Would it help competitively, or just a big nope?

It is not pure BS. It removes screen tearing and makes gameplay smoother but not in games like CS GO because you need as much FPS as possible in CS GO
but does it give you input lag?

use v-sync and u'll realize that it makes the game smoother. For other games its useful but not in cs go.

Handy in other titles but utterly useless in CS GO and most competitive games.
