Why the M249 is actually a very good gun.

I will just go over it really quick.

The M249 can kill in 4 body shots in distances of 350 units with a fire rate of 12 bullets/second. That's 0.33 ms of kill time. Even when the damage drop off makes it 5 shot kill in the chest it will still kill fairly fast but just slightly slower than the ak at 0.41 ms if you control the recoil. Now we reach the part where it makes this gun unreliable at times. The recoil of the m249 goes up into the right and then immediately up into the left making it a very difficult recoil pattern. The accuracy is not that bad and the spraying is pretty average. Valve definately needs to decrease it's price already is what I am saying.

For 5200$ it's worst gun. If it would be cost 3000$ at least, maybe I can buy m249 instead m4.

This is why they gutted the AUG/SG.

I never used the negev, nor seen anyone use it for anything else other than troll, but I always thought the Negev's purpose was exactly to counter smokes.

This is why they gutted the AUG/SG.

Actually Valve wants every gun to get its use. If that happens then that means people would buy more skins out of these guns. And more buying skins means more $$$. Why do you think they tried to make the negev and r8 viable and even recently with the bizon?

That's what I thought, and I think that's also why they tried to get the AUG and SG to see some use. Then, community outcry, even after they reverted their price to what they were before.
People have grown so attached to their AK/M4s that if any other gun comes to take their place, all hell breaks loose, and they don't want that.
But they can still tweak niche guns like the negev or bizon. Odds are you're not going to buy a bizon on a buy round anyway.

i don't know guys but Negev seems to be strong in my games. People tend to kill 3-4 people in one round with negev. I'm gold nova master-master guardian, but even saw in mge people getting tons of kills with Negev.

The negev is actually a very good situational weapon, for example if you had the enemies rush one side every single round and you heard them coming, you could start spraying your load towards their direction and keep them in, while waiting for your team to get behind them so they can start doing damage.

Of course your team will have to move fast as you burn through those 150 bullets quite fast, so as soon as you start spraying your load you should have already asked your team to help you.

I doubt valve will ever touch the m249.

Personally, I think LMGs are very situational weapons. For that price point, they're not something you should be buying regularly
