Possible to miss the knife?

Hi eveyone!

I have heard that some of the newer updates made the cases different. From what I've heard you can't "miss" the knife in a case. So what I'm trying to say is that the "knife pictures" or the "legendary picture" can't pass when u open a case. That means the only time a knife picture will pop up is if you get the knife, but is that true?

I don't think so, I once watched a video from anomaly and he kinda lost it when a yellow drop passed by (He got a blue instead). I don't have the source right now.

There was only rumors about it back in the day but I don't think it has ever been genuinely proven to have happened.

Why would they change that in the first place? I highly doubt it was changed.

I saw a video where the dude opened a case and the knife passed by right at the beginning but he didnt get it. I guess you just have to be really unlucky to have that happen to you.

It was possible to miss the yellow symbol back before summer 2018. With the Horizon UI update, they got rid of it. However it was only possible to miss the yellow symbol at the very first few skins running by, so basically at the very start of the opening animation. You couldn‘t miss it by one field or stuff like that.
It was definitely possible back in the days and happened to me twice actually xD

I don't care about these type of stuff, I just watched few videos when I was completely bored. I don't have any video. But there is no reason why it shouldn't be like that.
