The fact I told you my skins went up in price, you insist there are no csgo skin investments, I've bought gifts and games pure on profit from selling skins, I sell skins I don't want and buy better ones with the profit, it's good for me because I don't need to add any money, all my skins I bought 4 and 5 years ago, whenever I want something on Steam I'll just sell a skin and buy it
I never said there was no skin investments, but rather that they were not worth making in the first place. It is not a valid way of making a profit efficiently. Your goal is not to make any profit and just to trade up here and there and maybe make some money to buy something on steam, which is fine.

However, the op seems like he just wants to make money. If you are buying a skin just to eventually make money then you are going to be waiting for a while, which is why I told him that he shouldn't bother with it. These are cosmetic items made for fun, not something to "invest" in. If he wants to make money then there are better ways of doing it, which lead to me suggesting other places where he should be putting his money.

Doesn't bother you yet you feel the need to bring it up. I don't recall us discussing anything like the anti cheat here :bird:
I can bring up whatever I want, Mr. No Credibility. Not my fault you get angry and ask if switching accounts would make a difference. Clearly you are bothered by it. Sorry to hurt your feelings buddy, hope you can get over it soon.

Other users have already stolen your lunch money with facts, no need to keep picking at the bones.

Bringing something up that has nothing to do with what is being discussed is a nice way to change the topic/derail the thread. I'm not mad, in fact I was being accommodating to you. If the ban was bothering you that much I would have been happy switching to an unbanned account so it doesn't bother you any longer.

It has a lot to do with the discussion. You have already proven to be untrustworthy, and cheaters usually lie as well. Sorry to keep making you angry about your VAC ban.

Judging an argument from the basis on who it is coming from rather than addressing the argument directly, I wonder if this is a well known logical fallacy? :trainbowbarf:

Yes, this should be my last reply. I haven't slept in a bit and clearly this thread isn't really going anywhere.

I've already offered you the best advice you can get. Don't waste your money on "investing" in skins for a virtual video game. Only delusional kids that think they're some type of businessmen do that. Go invest in something actually worth investing in if you have money and aren't under legal age. Otherwise if you are 14 or something then feel free to play pretend along with the other kids here.
its quite profitable, my friend. you don't have to be toxic just because you can't afford it.

You sound sort of salty that you have no skins. That stinks!

No idea how to predict such things, but there are two instances when the investment will pay off:

1. If CSGO is as massive as it is today, lets say 5 years from now. There is a good chance that most nice looking skills will increase in value, by how much, who knows. But I had this SG 553 Ultraviolet in 2016 maybe, I thought it was FN, but it was FT. Anyway both increased in price. The FN was relatively cheap back then maybe 5-10£. Now its 124£. My one was I think around 1£ now its around 4-5£. Nothing major, but the increase %-wise is significant.
Do I think it's worth the risk, no not really. But I am not interested in skin investing, maybe it makes more sense for other people.

2. Steam sales. Prices of skins drop, when people are desperate to make use of the nice discount on the game they want. No idea, which ones drop the most. Im pretty sure if you follow the market closely and you have about 1000£ in your steam wallet, you could earn (or lose ^^) few hundred easily.

I wanted to buy a knife, so during the steam sale I decided to buy a bayonet as the butterflies haven't decreased in price significantly. So I bought mine for 99£. Now it is around 110. Worst case It will devalue to 50-80 range. Best case it might even double in couple years. Who knows, I love the bayonet tho.

Glove case and if that is expensive for you get the Clutch case it will go up in price but don`t expect to go up soon it will take time , once the old glove case is almost gone the clutch will be next in to rotation , stickers cloud9 , kato15 if you have the money , capsules w/kato15 , gold stickers , operation passes , old skins : fire serpent ,kill confirmed , poseidon , icarus , blaze collection , water elemental , ak case hardened tier 2 or even t3 , ak vulcan , cologne stickers ...

Simple economics comes into play here. Anything old where the supply is not meeting the demand and the demand does not decrease can be a decent investment. Remember though - you need to gain more than 30% value due to how there is the 15% buy tax and then the 15% sell tax if you use the market. It’s really similar to a stock market though where luck is also involved - for example my friends and I used P250 sand dunes as gambling currency as a joke (and I currently have over 200 in my inventory in the “junk” box), and at one point some Youtuber was buying all the P250 Sand Dune minimal wear’s off the market for some reason where the demand skyrocketed over the supply to a point where the normally $0.05 skin became either $0.80 or $8 (I forget). I had about 50 of these minimal wear P250 sand dunes at the time and didn’t find out until just afterwards :(

But how do I find out what skins there is demand for and what skins people are interested in? Give me an example skin please
