sounds like someone is salty. You must have had a bad experience trading. It's not just kids that trade and invest. CS:GO and many other games have an entire economy built around it.
You've given your point of advice.
Its half and half. Half say don't because it's virtual items and that one should invest in tangible goods and the other half say its worthwhile because they enjoy playing with the skins and the feel and attention in owning said skins and of course, the ability to sell off if need be.
I'm on the fence when it comes to these types of things but what one does with their money is ultimately up to them.
