How to find a seller on SCM through their profile picture? CS:GO Trade Site Recommendations?
-[][][]_1

I'm someone who likes to invest in a StatTrak skin I know that is clean - meaning not duped, and that wasn't passed along through multiple accounts (with minimal user history).

I like them fresh, I overpay to get them fresh, and sometimes there are these accounts that sell those skins in the Steam Community Market: I'm sure you've noticed the same picture selling multiple Factory New StatTrak skins with different floats at different prices - I'm looking for those kinds of people.

I know about Steam Avatar Finder, I used it previously to find various seller profiles but lately I'm not getting any results with it.

I know the link shouldn't be pasted on the site's search bar but rather on the address bar after "/avatars/" (so let's get that out of the way).

I'm not getting any results, namely because when I copy the link address of the image, it seems the image links have... evolved. You see before, it used to be shorter and much cleaner, now it's a mess.

I tried various combinations of the link to see if I got any results, e.g. searching with the jpg, deleting the jpg, deleting "/avatars/"... but it always says it can't find anyone.

So if you guys are managing to get results, I'd appreciate if you could enlighten me on how to properly select the link and paste it on the address bar.

With that out of the chest, I also wanted to know what CS:GO trading website is best for someone who say, is able to search for a specific StatTrak skin and buy it with keys while having complete access to the seller's profile and the item's history.

Thanks in advance. :lunar2019grinningpig:

There is no such thing as "not fresh" or "not clean" skin. All trades are final, so you don't need to worry about skins disapperaing later due to reversed transaction.

Traders on Community Market are anonymous for many reasons - one of them is so they don't get threats or other unwanted attention form people who dislike their prices
You misunderstand me when I say fresh, need to reread that part again (this time carefully). When I say fresh I mean a skin that is unboxed by 1 user and sold to another being still fresh, I'm not interested on skins that were owned by 3-20 different people.

Who the hell is going to threaten someone on SCM because the price for their item is too high? That's stupid, can't believe Valve removed being able to see seller profiles solely for that reason.

Appreciate the bump but your comment remains unhelpful.

What difference does it make? They're digital items, it's not like their condition worsens after each owner.

Someone who wants ro buy it cheaper. And someone who wants to sell it higher can bother sellers who sell the item cheap.

A "fresh skin"? That is one of the oddest thinks I have ever heard a "trader" in Steam say (though I admit I'm not a trader). There is no wear of skins. Values are not higher or lower depending on the number of times the skin changed hands. I don't think there is a way to trace a skin's traded history anyway.

I think it usually goes like this:
"Hello sir! I see you're selling your knife for $200, I can buy if for $400 if you can verify it's fresh and not duped. To verify it, you just need to enter your login credentials on this phishing site I made yesterday. See, its login page looks just the same as real steamcommunity.com!"

If you want the items buy the on the market. It's disabled for a reason. You already said you were willing to overpay, so put your money where your mouth is.
