Reality is m4a1 is better in all the other aspects
M4A1-S only usefull when you play spots wherr it does fit like mirage or cache mid.
But they are still kinda equal amd it's personal preference. There is no wrong or right.
-Better stability at long range
-Cheap
-Lesser bullets in one mag (25*3)
M4A4:
-Performs better to spray and attack in close range
-Relatively expensive but still viable
-More bullets in one mag (30*3)
It's your personal choice. I would recommend to try out both and then choose that which fits into your game style.
Both do exactly the same damage and but different drop-off damage (A1 with 0.99, A4 with 0.97 range modifier) with the same armour penetration. Some points for each one:-
1) M4A4
- $3100
- 30 bullets per clip (90 in reserve)
- High firerate of 666 rpm
- Has more recoil than M4A1-S, less than AK-47
- More predictable spray pattern
- Excels in CQB, but isn't too shabby in long-range gunfights
- More inclined for offensive gameplay
2) M4A1-S
- $2900
- 25 bullets per clip (75 in reserve actually)
- Average firerate of 600 rpm (Same as the AK-47)
- Low recoil and easier control
- +Silencer, making it less obvious to distinguish sounds and no tracers to give away the location
- Powerful in mid-long range battles, not the best when up close and personal
- Better choice for defensive styles
Overall, the 2 guns basically complement the two different tactics of playing: Offense or Defense. It all matters on how the match goes, how you feel you should play (gamesense) etc etc
Hope this helps.
