Things Which Anger Me About CS:GO Knives
Hello all,

For starters, I am a real-life knife collector/carrier. (Big into EDC— everyday carry) I was wondering why, given that this is a somewhat realistic game, the knives have features which aren’t accurate to real life?

I have looked closely at CS:GO knives and I find some features quite annoying.

Huntsman Knife: there is a thumb stud on the blade when the knife is a fixed blade. This is used on folding knives as an opening mechanism. However, it is totally pointless on a fixed blade

Flip Knife: the blade is larger than the handle. So, if folded closed, the blade will not fit into the handle, eliminating all use of it being a “flip knife”

Nomad Knife: the handle of this knife does not have a slot for the blade to actually fit into when closed. It is just a solid piece of metal.

Also, if a knife is case hardened (especially if the knife is a Classic Knife which bears a “combo edge” of two different stainless steels) case hardening a knife would compromise its tinsel strength and make the blade very brittle.

Do devs just not really care? Does anyone care? Probably not.

Sincerely, a nit picky motherf*****

There are stacks of things in the game that don't make sense in the real world. Like being able to run around unaffected when you are only 1% alive. You can strafe peek in a doorway with an AWP with a 4ft barrel but it doesn't affect movement. I dunno, I guess you just have to accept this isn't a realistic war simulator it's a computer game and things don't necessarily have to translate to the real world.

You can swallow a nade and it wont kill you, reload the cz 22 times but it only has two mags, smoke instantly appears, m4a1s barrel is not threaded when you remove the suppressor, if you’re using a heavy weapon you can move faster by switching to your knife, (even if the weapon is on your back) you instantly extinguish yourself by walking out of flames

I mean the guns look like real guns but aren't named after the real guns neither. Not really that big of a deal honestly.
