Is Valorant really a bad thing for Counter Strike?

People are saying Valorant "looks boring", "not a good game", but I enjoyed it like how I enjoyed playing CS:GO for the first time in 2014. I think we are being to harsh on Valorant and not looking at it more open mindedly (not a word bare with me). I think both games help each other. Even if you do think the game "sucks". I mean this as in Valve seemed to kinda wake up when Valorant came on the radar "damn we gotta fix our game *krieg nerf* *cheaters banned*". Valorant has done a lot of good things and has taken some good aspects of CS. I think CS implementing some good Valorant things into CS's already good things will make CS an even better game. Flom talked about this on stream and he basically said the same thing. I think Valorant is good for CS:GO and it kinda kicked the brainstorming for ways to improve CS into high gear.

problem on valorant is, it is easy as ♥♥♥♥. everyone makes kills in the game, because everyone is able to hit. they made the game this way, so literally anyone can play it, even if you haven't played fps at all. valorant feels clunky, physics sucks, spray patterns are random. if you don't want to master a game and just play braindead, then valo is perfect game for you. imho cs go is the same compared to older cs

It's not bad for CS. Competition between both games would even be helpfull because then valve had to do a lot more stuff to keep player.

But I personally don't like valorant because of the anti cheat, the graphics and the special abilities. I also only play one competitive game to stay on a high level without training so playing another game wouldn't be good.

That's wrong. LoL and Quake are different genres, overwatch and csgo are at least both 1. competitive 2. first person 3. shooter.

cs -> dedicated server, community dedicated to creating maps and sourcemods, steam which offers features with no end, from workshop to screenshots, customizable engine
valorant -> nothing
overwarch -> nothing
you better compare the last 2, instead of comparing cs with valorant

ps ofc i exaggerate with quake and lol, but ow/valo and cs are uncomparable too

What you compare are just minor important things. I compare the major parts like mentality around the game, playstyle etc.

i played valorant and found it fun, a breath of fresh air compared to cs, the way valorant plays for me like you know what should hit or not, in cs you could swear you shot someone in the head but it hits their shoulder. IMO i prefer valorant because its got potential as a competitive game

Valorant has some wild hit box bugs rn tho other than that definitely recommended to friends
