HELP! VAC unable to verify the game session

Out of nowhere today, whenever I started queueing for MM, it instantly would get cancelled and a message pops up saying "VAC unable to verify the game session"

I've done some research online and tried all the fixes I could find

- Running as administrator
- Uninstalling steam and reinstalling
- Verifying game file integrity
- SteamService Repair
- etc

None of it has worked and its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ me off does anyone know how to fix this?

Edit: If you’re also having this issue please comment here. I know there’s an older thread but it seems none of the answers there work.

UPDATE: As of 4/6/2020, the bug seems to be fixed for most people including me. Thank you all for contributing to this thread to get this bug the attention it needed. If you're still getting this error, try making a support ticket and include a screenshot of your game.

I am starting to agree. Wasted so much time listening to that other dude who thought he knew everything. Lol. Hope valve fixes it asap

i just close and open again steam from the taskbar..for me is working...

I feel you buddy, this is driving me crazy im going insane... im trying for like 13 hours currently, i tried 15 different solutions multiple times each and still no help...i created 2nd acc just to try it out and it works perfectly fine...but on this acc i cant play MM

Well then clearly you didn't read....all 7 pages lol. Everytime you log into a new account and install csgo you create default configs(seperate from your "normal account" folders). Hence this issue is clearly with your other account loading BAD configs. As stated previously(numerous times).

Not necessarily true. I logged into another account of mine that I know for a fact did not share the same config files, as you mentioned, because it would not load my autoexec files. I couldn't figure it out, so just went on with life. That account is having the same issues. Still no fix.
