And Valve doesn't really have much motivation to LOWER the prices of any of their items through releasing more of them. They want those items to be very expensive so they get a cut of every sale made on the Steam market.
No, Valve doesn't want everyone to have gloves, they want the gloves to be just as rare as knives = incredibly rare so they stay very valuable (and expensive).
Though the chance to have a new glove case is quite slim.
The prices SHOULD come down but: humans are not rational actors haha
As for gloves, the gloves case and clutch cases aren’t that expensive, so i just gonna assume that they are rare.
Actually the % of you getting gloves is higher than getting a knife as I know. I might be wrong just I'm not sure but I think it's like that.
If they release new gloves, all glove prices would increase. The category expands, making it harder to get a glove you want from unbox.
They will release a bunch of ugly skins so that old ones could fetch a better price, and a few slightly better ones that would fetch a heavenly price.
In the next glove patch, some gloves would look completely unacceptable. They will become the next default price - which is more expensive than the ones today - because they are new.
