Game framerate is stuck at 150 fps.

fps_max_menu 999, still gives me 150~fps max in menu
fps_max 999 gives me 150~fps max ingame

I have 144hz

vsync off in both nvidia settings and ingame
... anyone heard of this issue?

try set max fps to 0

Disable XBOX DVR, Gamebar, shadowplay, disable fullscreen optimization.

Downgraded to nvidia 399.24 fixed it for me. Possibly a reinstall of the new nvidia driver would have fixed it too.

So the problem is back, and I have no idea what is causing it. Im not using xbox dvr, gamebar, shadowplay, and have disabled fullscreen optimizations, im not using any gpu monitoring software nor motherboard manufacturer software.

Changed the refresh rate to 60, the FPS is still locked to 150fps. So its probably not some vsync thing.

The ingame net_graph 3. You know what, I found out what was the problem, but not what caused it. I downloaded nvidia profile inspector and the framerate was locked to 161 fps for whatever reason, I turned that off and now its back to 999 fps in main menu. What the heck could lock the framerate like that?? It's not something thats supposed to happen.

change settings from full screen to full screen windowed. It worked for me. Downside is you cant change brightness

gonna necro this just to add that as of today (22nd September 2021) my frames were also capped, the problem was running the game in compatibility mode and or disabling fullscreen optimizations. my FPS in the menu was ~150 now It's 300+ again
