Can´t find my server in the public server list
Hi all,

I setup a CS:GO server on a dedicated server, but can´t find it in the public server list when I choose the community servers browser ingame, even if I enter the name.
I added the server in my Steam favourites, so I can find it ingame in the favourites menu. But it´s not available in the "Internet" menu.
Does anybody know how to make the server public so that it can be found in the list?

Best regards

heusmich

1. Have you port forwarded your router?
2. Have you set server token?

I set a server token, but why do I have to forward the port on my router? The server is setup on a dedicated server somewhere in a datacenter...

If you rent a host for your server, contact the owner to port forward for you
If you host server on your own pc, port forward your router.
Otherwise server won’t appear online

In this datacenter no ports will be blocked. Also all other gameservers are available in the internet without forwarding a port. So it should be something else I think...

Make another csgo server, make another server token, run it and check. If it’s online, your server has problem, if not then the host is problem.

Gametracker for example can find the server, but not the game itself.

Hi again,

Now I made a fresh setup of the CS:GO server and I have the same problem.
It can be found at Gametracker (https://www.gametracker.com/search/csgo/?query=clout9k) but I can´t find the server in the community browser list. Only in my favourites menu.
Does anybody have some hints for me? This is the only game server I have that is not visible ingame, all other servers are working without problems...
You've activated your Mobile phone/authenticator, right? Your server will only be public if you connected a mobile phone and registred: https://steamcommunity.com/dev/managegameservers

Yes, I have the mobile authenticator active and I generated a token on the link you sent, too. Also I added this token to the start parameters. But it´s not visible in the community browser...

EDIT: Now it´s working, I can find the server. I again generated a new token, added it to the config and restarted the server. Now it´s visible in the community server browser.
Strange because I already did this two times today.
But now everything seems to be OK.
Thanks for your help!!!

just change your server compatibility from csgo server to cs2 server.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
