Viruses from Workshop maps?

Ok i might sound paranoid and stuff, but can you get viruses from workshop map i need an answer that i can trust not like etc possible, no, yes. because ive seen some discussions in 2015 where people said yes and no and its unclear to me was there a bug that u can get viruses from them or is it patched or did it even ever exist so, pls tell me can you and some more info thanks!

You wont get any virus from a workshop map

No you can't, all that stuff what happend @ css is not able to be done in the workshops anymore.
All ways on custom servers ( public servers ) are also patched, nothing can be run automatic anymore when joining a server so no automated trojans/malware/virusses etc.

So you can enjoy everything without any problems!

no not anymore it was an exploit but it was patched very quickly and i would take posts from 2015 that serious as its been almost 4 years of patches

I dont think so, but you could actually get viruses from community servers if you have to download files before you can play on the server.

Ok thx for the responses but if i wanna play like zombie escape mod communtiy server i can get a virus from like a texture?? But cant people put malicious code into texture files?

Also if i wanna play my friends scary hide and seek workshop map i will surely not get mamware or etc because i havent seen valve say u cant get them

You can from specific maps. This lead to a new scam method. A random dude invites you. It just says like: Competitive - Mirage, Cache, Office, etc. You think, okay whatever. Before starting up, they quickly change the map to some weird map, that will download a ZIP file that has something infected inside. It will auto-zip, thus stealing your passwords. But dont worry about that. Just be sure you dont accept invites from strangers and you will be fine!

No this doesn't work anymore and hasn't worked for years now.
There is no way currently to auto exec files anymore for players joining custom servers.

Havent you heard? His channel got terminated cause it was telated to gambling, thus are all his vids. I might be able to find it somewhere else
