How do I 'activate' prime?

So I bought CS:GO a while ago and I didn't play it until it came out as Free to Play, does that still mean I get Prime? And If so, how do I activate it?

You already have prime, the Loyalty Badge is proof of that.
Also you can see it when you are searching for a game, there is a text above gamemode/maps with: Prime Enabled

you're wrong, Loyalty Badge is for owning the game before the free update it has nothing to do with prime

you're also wrong, my friend owned the game before the free update, he got the badge but didn't get a free prime. unless it was a bug?

No it is not for owning the game, you receive the Loyalty Badge if you played atleast 1 match prior to the f2p update.
And all people who purchased CS:GO before the f2p have been automaticly been upgraded to prime and received the loyalty badge for it ( if a match have been played )

So you cannot have the loyalty badge and not being prime.

Bug maybe, but everyone who had purchased the game before the f2p update have received prime.
He should contact steam support if he isn't prime.
Make sure to check it in main csgo menu and not on the store page since the page will always say that you can upgrade to prime even if you already did.
