Lost my ability to aim
Hey, so yea, where do i start. Ive completely lost my ability to aim, and i don't even know whats the issue anymore this affected me in every single game even in windows. This started 3 years ago when i was really into csgo, and my aim back then felt really good. But then my mouse broke down and i switched to an mouse that was really uncomfortable ( I was using Rival 300, and i switched to an Razer Taipan) and that's where it started. Ever since i was switching mice, switching hardware, switching settings. I feel like i cant play any game that requires me to aim right now because i just constantly think about how bad i am and that makes me really depressed. I just feel like my arm is not controlling the mouse enough, its like i'm aiming without a mousepad i cant track people or snap onto people. I stopped playing matchmaking just because it started giving me extreme anxiety. I tried every single grip style, aiming with your arm/wrist/forearm and sometimes it feels like it would help for a day but then it would just go back to horrible. At this point it just makes me think like its an huge mental issue that i have with aiming or i have an tremor or something wrong with my arm. The only thing that is left to try is to take a break from aiming for a good amount of time. I was just wondering if anybody else went through this aswell, any feedback is very much appreciated.

Mice that ive tried so far:
G402
G403
G900
FK2
EC2-A
Rival 310
Rival 300

Sorry for this messy message.

Also self criticism is a good thing. It's better to think about yourself that you make mistakes and can improve in some terms than thinking you're flawless.

But you should stick with one thing in terms of sensitivity, dpi, mouse and how you hold that mouse. Don't feel forced into changing something. Especially in holding the mice. Tht has to be completely natural. Also don't change the dpi/sens/edpi. Find one which works for you (for most people something around 900 edpi +-300). For example I've 1600 dpi and 0.6 sens.

Also activate m_rawinput 1 and disable mouse accelaration.

Use a mouse which fits to you. For example I have big hands and I lift the mouse a lot so I need a bigger mice which is easily pickable at the same time and I use fingertip grip which is very rare but since I'm used to it since the mid 90's when I used a win 95 mouse which was like a square and also used chunky mices til the early 2k's.

I currently use a g402 hyperion fury which works very good. Used a mx518 for a very long time before.

The most important thing is: Don't. Change. Something. Just. Because. You've. One or more. Bad days. Don't do it. Stick with it. The settings are never an excuse for your weaker days and you even destroy all your memory and what you're used to when switching things. You've to relearn your aim. Best way to do this is playing workshop maps and deathmatch a lot. Learn and improve your crosshairplacement. Rebuild your memory for all comp maps and you're good to go.

you have to stick to one , you will get used to it eventually , and if youre using the same mouse for like 6 months and feel like you are still relying too much on the mouse. The problem is not with the mouse its with you , i have the same issue and i find everything else to blade for me being ♥♥♥♥ sometimes but you have to look at other players , a pro would be able to grab a ball mouse and a vrt monitor and turn the lobby upside down.

stop switching gear

Yeah, you can't keep changing your mice, u have to get used to it again. Just keep practicing with one mouse and one sensitivity until you start performing well again. That's how it is for everyone.

Yea, im planning to stick to my current mouse EC2-A the shape feels good, but i probly need to quit gaming for a bit or something, because my aiming arm just feels tired all the time and i don't know if its the grip or my mentality.

Yes having some rest from playing might help, but I would still recommend practicing for a few hours a day, even if ur not planning to play.

Ive been practicing like 2 hours or more every day, and playing in 1v1 servers but that doesnt really help me, i just constantly think that i'm doing something wrong. Like im not holding my mouse tight enough or im not using my wrist enough or not resting my arm on the mouse enough. Like these look like simple things but they drive me ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crazy.

I wish i had the chance to re-learn everything and reset my mentality but i'm just lost at this point.

You have spent plenty of time on cs, so you already have the knowledge needed to play well now you just need to train your muscle memory so you can get those sweet one taps. I got nothing else to recommend it's just how it is, u won't be amazing after a long break or a switch from one sensitivity to another (same with mouse) it all will come back at some point just don't stress it.

I think that definitely makes a lot of sense, because right now i'm playing the game solely to try and be good and not having any fun or joy therefore not improving that much and just getting annoyed and depressed.
